External partners came along to the our Multiplier Event which was held at the Gleneagles Hotel on 27th November 2018 where Dundee & Angus College and Forth Valley College showcased the innovative materials and provided an explanation of how the resources can help support and care for people living with dementia.

The story so far . . .

The Memory Media project idea arose from research which found that approaches using art and multi-media are having an impact in dementia care. People with mild-to-moderate dementia can benefit from participating in cognitive stimulation activities.

Memory Media is a European funded two-year international project led by Dundee and Angus College. This collaboration with the United Kingdom (D&A College and Forth Valley College), Spain, Sweden and China has created an opportunity to join two different cultural approaches – East meets West – resulting in a holistic programme offering a wide range of resources translated into all 4 languages.

These include a website, research findings, comparative study, teaching and learning materials, a life story application designed by D&A College students and a peer teaching course plan for health professionals, carers or relatives.
